Got another gage cluster off of eBay, I needed the inner face plate to freshen up my original gages. I’m going to polish the outer plastic lens some more to get it as nice as possible. The one that came with the newer set is in decent shape and will go into storage in case I ever need it.

Removed the rear bumper from my El Camino so I can stop whacking my knee on the hitch that was welded on in multiple places. Want a free bumper?



Washed the Cutlass in preparation of actually doing something. Many other plans fell through due to people not keeping their word.

Got the Holley QFT cleaned out and replaced all the fluids! Currently trying to decide on a new suspension set up.

4” exhaust to the rear tire.

Fixed speedo drive/driven gear setup. Then discovered that the morons that did the exhaust bent the tubes over the axle to where under full suspension travel, it completely flattened the steel hard line to the LR wheel cylinder. Also rubbed the upper control arms. Wound up cutting the tailpipes off and realigning and welding them back on. THEN found that the trans mount that was on the trans when it went in was missing a bolt that was previously there, and the other was loose. Turns out they used metric bolts on SAE case. Guess I'll be helicoiling those and installing studs to rectify.

Lesson learned, ALWAYS check other peoples' work. Shame on me, I did not check the trans mount when it went in.

BUT still was a nice day for a Malibu cruise.

Trying to get the 700R4 TV cable synced up with the LS throttle body for many days this week, still can’t get it right. Decided to give the car a wash today.
