Passenger muffler can level out, driver's can go as high as passenger. Keep in mind, it's literally just a straight piece of 4ft pipe on either side (technically I guess 3' 7" now) and any higher than the passenger it hits the floor. I imagine a kit would fit better. Was gonna get a Pypes kit, but I was only gonna use the tail pipes anyway. Dont want an X pipe, and after reading other members posts about them, not so sure. TA Performance makes a kit, but I've never seen it. Probably has monte SS tail pipes. Which I also didn't want. I can go over pretty decent dips and they don't scrape, but if the pipes were angled in the middle a bit I suppose the rest would be moved up in turn.

My 2 regals were lowered, but the muffler bottoms were still above the bottom of the rear axle:

"straight pipe" is non ideal. For best results the pipes need to go in to run along the driveshaft then out to the mufflers. A Muffler shop can likely fix your problem for cheap by turning up the pipes before the mufflers. I don't have pictures of the 3" in my 2+2 but even with properly bent pipes I spent 2 days to get the last Inch in height. A muffler shop probably could have done it for $50-$75.

Not Scraping and not looking like Joe Dirt are two separate issues. People talk about you behind your back when they see exhaust hanging down like that and we don't want that. Think of this as an intervention.

It's because he has the wrong offsets on the mufflers or they are backwards

I agree, I looked at that too, it looks like in the front he has the center inlet which should be offset

With straight pipes all I could do is center in offset out. Any other way would put the tailpipes too close together. Both offset would put the mufflers against the floor/undercarriage bracketry. Again, straight piped. No where reliable to buy a kit anymore. Didn't have the time to have my only car hung up at a shop (who probably wont touch it due to having no cats) for X amount of time.

I switched out my Z steering box back to my Borgeson Delphi 600 box. The Delphi box uses a different knuckle so I switched out the Astro steering shaft for the Astro shaft set up for that box. I was glad to go back to the Delphi box cause it is 13 lbs lighter and with the servo it works real nice. If you recall I bought the Z box last year cause I thought the Delphi box had a problem which turned out to be a problem with the new pump having a bunch of debris in the reservoir. I started doing the bolt check and found one of the front sway bar bushing bracket was busted so I'll have to replace that with something. I have the 36 mm F body bar so that puts more strain on the brackets and I do drive the GP kinda hard some times.

Got the 4.3 pulled out of the Bonneville and the 350 set in. I got the serpentine drive installed and am transferring the sensors over. Hopefully it will be up and going again this week.

Last fall i grabbed a quadajet carb and dist from a 403 junkyard run. Finally rebuilt it and put it on my 455, also swapped out the dist weights and springs. Now the carb i took off had been dicked with by me many, many years ago. I'm clueless on these matters and just drove the pig rich engine all these years.
Well my mpg went from 11 to 15. Engine runs great with a slight hint of pinging from time to time.
