What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Well, it wouldn't RPM last time I drove it. Checked the plugs, replaced the wires, suspected exhaust obstruction, so I removed it. Then, I noticed that the lovely 2 year old CCC Dualjet was no longer making any noise like it usually does. Soooo, I parked it to build a non CCC Dualjet for it (and install a non-computer HEI). Then kid's graduation and summer happened. Today I noticed that there was a nice dark spot under it, and it wouldn't even think about going to reverse, so I guess the trans is going to need some loving too.

I swear, some days I'd sell them all and buy something that runs and drives and doesn't need everything just to be out from under it all.

I could understand your frustration. It sucks when a few separate problems rear their ugly heads.
Good luck with it. I hope you find a viable solution that won't break the bank.

Doubled checked drive line angles with both ES trans mounts to make sure everything is where it should be, then noticed the '85 Camaro steel ralleys (15") back spacing is more than the '70's Z28 wheels have. Explains why I kept loosing inner wheel weights back in the DD days.

Got back from the 400 rounder to the folks and back with various stops in between. Just got done unloading the car. AC could be colder, but eeked out 21mpg rollin' 75-80 w/air on blast. Took some b*tches to school on the highway. Picked up 10gal of e85 to chase the ZR1 to Martinsburg Friday (long story). As Ice Cube would say: today was a good day.

Nah man. It's proof I went racing. it's staying until it gets rained off.
Also, yes. The fitment is kinda wonky, BUT, I blame that on my "custom" exhaust, it goes straight back from the downpipes (SBB is wider than a SBC as well) so I imagine if I got an actual kit they would've fit better, but it's close enough for my liking. Nothing rubs, the over the axle bend is nice tight and uniform, etc. Quality stuff.

I wired in a relay for my A/C compressor clutch. I remembered I had a Painless Wiring hotwire kit. So I used that. I did not like the way it had too small of wire for a fuel pump and my Sniper has a hotwire kit built into the harness. Now my clutch stays engaged better. It still kicks out some times, but much better. The problem is I bought the cheeper option A/C compressor from Rockauto, and the clutch solenoid is week. I worked too hard not to have A/C!

Got around to painting my console today. It's homemade fiberglass with a vinyl covered door/armrest. After reading all the threads about using SEM products, figured I'd try to match the seats. Had a quart mixed at West Penn Laquer in Millvale Pa. All I had to go by was a factory tag under the pass. seat that read 1996 neautral. No code at all. Turns out there were 4 variations of neautral that year. I took in 2 pieces off the seat (trim) and the mix turned out to be a perfect match. I did everything according to the directions and videos, and all went real good. It took a pint to do the console. It'll probably take about 3 quarts to do the rest of the interior. If you have a compressor, painting with a gun instead of rattle cans is definitely the way to go.

I am probably the only guy in town with a LS swapped anything. The old guys were befuddled.

I'm in a similar situation. The largest population in the state and I know LS swapped stuff is very rare. Turbocharged LS stuff... I would be surprised if there were half a dozen drivers in the area.
