I tried to get my driveway
I haven't been on in a while to much rain to work on projects but the sun came out today and I got hit with the honey do list. I began to pushmow the back yard with the 19 or 20" self-propelled lawn mower which by the way the self-propelled unit does not work so it's like pushing a brick. I made about six or eight passes from one side of the yard to the other working my way from the house towards the back which by the way doesn't even make it an eighth of the way. Shut the mower off walked over to my wife and said we need a riding lawn mower! She said well we could get one I said no like we need one now. Lol so I went in the house got a glass of iced tea and started the cone the One ads Craigslist Facebook Marketplace and my wife says did you try let go well I'm like oh I found a riding lawn mower up the street from my house for 250 bucks and now it's Lauren's new rideView attachment 88869 View attachment 88870 View attachment 88871
I'm not sure but I think she was giving it a hug. It's in good shape but it melts PTO switches I found some chewed wires and fixed them and ordered a new switchView attachment 88872
All and all it should be a pretty good machine it's a stx38 View attachment 88874
I guess Lauren doesn't realize she got to cut the grass every week now.....

After 5 yrs of sitting, My brother and I got the boat serviced and on the water. Other than getting sun burnt, it was a good weekend.

After four straight days of playing Mr. Mom with the kids and tactics teacher/tutor to my wife (who is on course until late June) - I finally have a moment of silence. A tall cup of Joe and some automotive periodicals are my moment of zen.

The next phase of Natasha's course starts tonight, and I will resume my duties. Her successes are my successes.

But, I need ear plugs.

That little John Deere is quickly turning into another project! I ordered a switch for the PTO clutch but with the grass up to my a$$ I decided to use a jumper wire in the plug and cut the grass tonight. It worked well at first i made a few laps around the yard had to empty the bags 2x then I looked down and the wire harness was smoking! Total melt down so what makes the wire harness over heat when the clutch is engaged everything seems to work fine but the wires want to burn. I went online and ordered the books on it but if anyone has some insight that would be great. It's a John Deere stx38

Try your clutch it's self, it may be shorting out...I had a similar problem with my yellow deck stx38

Got my XJ8 Jag motor back together, went for start up. Crank crank crank crank . Wouldn't start. Crap. Took the passenger cool pack cover off. One coil pack was little loose. Tighten it. put right Coil pack cover back on, go for start up crank crank crank.

It Catches and Starts! At Idle it runs really rough but I rev it up and it smooths out. Maybe it needs to learn. Shut It off, start it back up... rough at idle, smooth above 2000.

Crap. Go back and look for a pinched wire or a vacuum leak. Nothing on the right bank where I was working So I check the left bank..

oh. The entire injector harness for the left bank was unplugged and laying on the valve cover. Right where I put it 4 weeks ago. My 4.0 Liter V8 was a 2.0L Inline 4. Plugged it in. Car runs perfect.

T-type gets worked on tomorrow. Thursday is Miata day, Saturday back to the Jag.

Scored a new project on LetGo today.

I found a 96 S-10 Blazer with a blown up 4.3 for $400.

I will hopefully be sticking a 350 in over the summer. If I can find all the parts, this will get a CPFI setup just like the V6 that came out.

Nice! Now go enjoy the jag for the next 18k or so miles before it needs the next total overhaul service interval.
