Ha. No, didn't pay cash.
Never married and no kids makes a difference in what you can afford to drive.

Married with children is definitely an interesting end of the spectrum. Still thinking a CTS-V wagon would have been a better choice than this POS Colorado she just "had to have".

At least it isn't a minivan! My wife wants a minivan for her next car. The Acadia I bought her basically is a minivan though.

Still more work on the Cop Vic. Installed the new starter.. Dropped the trans pan and came to the realization that it's NEVER been done. 113,000 miles. I popped a new filer in and cleaned out the pan and poured 5 fresh quarts in it. But thinking over dinner, I'm going to disconnect the return line from the trans cooler and flush the entire system before it goes out on the road. So tomorrow I'll pick up another filter and a case of fluid. At least it has a reusable gasket on the pan.

Also replaced the fuel filter and broke one of the little clips that holds the feed line on. So need to source some of those too. I thought I had a few spares from my Thunderbird. But no dice.

You flush out that system and you'll be buying a new trans for it!!!!

Change the filter put the old fluid back in it and top it off....done

I've been seeing and hearing conflicting reports on this. Some are saying exactly what you are saying. Others are saying this trans, 4R75W, is good to go 100K between changes.

Right now I can't put the old fluid back in it. It's mixed in my multi-purpose drain pan with the engine oil and rear gear oil.

I think the bed is made and I now have to sleep in it.

^^It'll be fine.^^

Got my balancer home late last night. I'll get it unloaded this morning and figure out how to use it. I verified that it powers up before I left but didn't go beyond the setup screen. I also need to figure out if I have all the necessary adapters. 900 mile round trip.

8" of snow = AWD Safari Do-Nuts in a big parking lot. 360 days a year it is boring as all hell to drive, the other 5 that we get snow like this it's a BLAST !
