Bought a whole bunch of cleaning products to get the oil and cig stank out of the crown Vic.
Next is tires to replace the bald tires, and when I says bald I mean BALD 👨‍🦲

And then?

I had a 92 with a 5.0HO GT40 top end, T5, 3.73 with posi. Thing was a hoot and would actually get down in MI. Still decent in CO, but it rapped out 3rd a lot harder down there. What year? As much of a GM guy as I am, Ford gets kudos for keeping the CV alive as a true body on frame for so long.

I just had to get out of the house and the Christmas leftovers. So I did another coat of POR-15 engine enamel on the Jeep 4.0. Then I went back to cleaning fasteners and prepping for the block install. I feel it will be easier to lay the block in and secure to the transmission without the head on. That way I can at least SEE the bell housing bolts. Then there are two idiotic external TORX bolts at the top. They will NOT be going back in. I drove around until I found a couple of grade 5 hex head flange bolts the same size. Oddly, Home Dupa had them. And it pays to double-check everything. When I put the oil pump in I found the bottom plate bolts were all the wrong torque. I set them right. Then I made sure the oil pump drive shaft fit without binding before torquing the mounting bolts.
