Did a professional paint job on my bedsides. $6 that I’ll never get back.

Earlier this week I discovered the steering issue with my Cub Cadet. Last weekend I went to turn and it went straight lmao!!!! Turns out there is a bronze bushing the steering shaft rides on that commonly goes bad which causes the steering to well, not steer!
I got the bushing and a new gear and got after it today. I tried to do the repair without dropping the deck to no avail, so off the deck came which needed a good cleaning anyway!...

Sure enough, the old bushing was shot, so I got it all replaced and put back together. Gonna test it now, should be good though.

Buddy and I did a little work on this

Always amazes me what a set of wheels can do to a vehicle, not usually a shiny guy but the boss runs Alcoa's on all his big trucks so I am partial to them

Put a quick headlight restoration on the GTO, and I do mean quick because both batteries ended up dying on the drill. Got in too much of a rush to get it done so forgot to show how bad the driver side was

If you used one of those restoration kits, don't expect it to last very long. I tried it on my Subie several years ago with lack luster results. I've heard that the best way to fix it is a wet sand and clear coat with automotive paint.

Oh I know I am gonna have to do it again soon just because it didn't even do as much as I wanted since the batteries died. I used the same kit a few years ago and knew what to expect. I have been kicking around the thought of using a clear film over the whole lens and then black with cutouts for the headlights and turn signal, just know won't work out as well as I would like
