What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2019]

I see saw blades!
You bet! I personally think she should take the inner fenders out and slam it like it used to be. But its the wife's project not mine, however I'm going to take it upon myself to finish up the interior and stereo system.(7 years in the making)
I still need to convince her I should put a cam in that 400 to wake it up. It's been a losing battle.

Disclaimer: This is no where near the level of Joe's freebie riding mower project.

Jr. likes to garbage pick for items that he can dismantle and scrap for a little pocket money. He often drags home mowers, bicycles, metal shelving units and the like on a regular basis.

He dragged home this Craftsman 21" push mower recently. As he always does, he showed me his "score" before dismantling it. I got to looking at it and came to the quick conclusion that it looked to be in better shape than the 25 year old Craftsman that I use to attack the rougher areas of the estate such as along the woodsline and the valleys after a lot of rain. Mine seems to have also has sprung a deadly oil leak which required me to add oil every time I used it.

So we spent about an hour removing anything that was unnecessary, dumping out the awful smelling gas, cleaning out a few rodent nests under the cover, cleaning out the carb and swapping in a used spark plug. The thing fired up and ran perfectly on one pull.

It was missing many parts so we swapped over the safety on/off lever from my old machine, swapped over the the discharge chute and I trimmed down my old blade to fit the smaller deck width.

But my proudest achievement on it was retrofitting a bicycle gear selector lever to work as a throttle adjustment.

Total cash outlay on it is less than $6 for a new air filter. Jr. got what was left of my old unit to scrap instead. I might eventually clean it up now that all the work is done.

I was given notice today that the Hellcat has achieved D status. Requested the VIN and assigned build date. We are also looking into the possibility of going to see it be built at the factory through our contacts at FCA.

Hopefully it is going to be built few days after the plant comes back from Summer shutdown starting later this week. I don't want a Friday or Monday car - LMFAO.

Yeah, its a 2018 - but I don't mind looking at it.
