Put new taillights on the K1500. Coincidentally the same brand and part number my late grandpa put on years ago when the originals let go.
Also put some shelves up for my woman's pots pans and other stuff we can't fit in the cupboards.

I'm no wood worker at all, had to buy a jigsaw to cut em lol. Die grinder probably wouldn't work too well.

Ran down to Virginia with the buddy I got the Jeep with, they were at unlucky 13 cars so she was alright with him picking this up. Was a decent trip down and back

Took the plow off. Tightened some things.
Put a new wheel stud on.
Plow stores nicely upright on dolleys.

New place came with a garage? Nice.
Its just under a car and a half, but it's enough for now. A garage was a non negotiable prerequisite. Along with a yard for my woman's 80lb maniac dog.

1. Closer to work than my previous 59 mile one way commute
2. Yard for dog
3. Garage big enough to walk around car with doors at least half open
4. Off street parking

It's not a bad starter home. Paid way too much, but in this market you're kind of screwed ni matter what you do.

It's a bridge to the next place. You're a homeowner. That's big.

Yup owning is better than renting. Make some extra payments towards the principle especially here in the first few years, it will help offset the interest you are losing money to and help build equity. I've been doing that since I bought my house in June 2019 and if I stay on track I'll have the mortgage paid off in a year and a half from now. Then onto the next house..or take a break and build something ridiculous.. 🤣

Doing the same as Built6spd. Do as much extra as you can on the back side and it helps in the end. Started with $25 a month and come tax return dumped $500-$1000. Didn’t have it before so it doesn’t hurt as much. All adds up!

When you buy a house and get that first 1098 showing the Interest paid, and uderstand that why that number is what it is, you'll want to burn down every bank you see.
i already do
