Swapped throttle bodies on my 04 lm4 5.3 Rainier.

Have had the infamous "reduced engine power" light issue on the car randomly since I bought it 85k miles and 6 years ago. The "REP" is a TPS disagreement in the TB actual position on the 0-5V vs 5-0V signals and it shuts the throttle to idle randomly.

It used to go into REP mode twice a year randomly and it never caused enough issue to actually address. Last month I was driving on a 4hr trip and it went into REP mode ~6 times. Hit REP mode on the way home from the PO and again twice driving a week ago.

Got fed up and dug into the harness where it plugs into the TB for broken wires and didn't find anything. Had no other option so I ordered a new ACDelco TB for $150. Would have replaced the TPS only but I can't find a quality TPS alone sadly.

Here's hoping it solves the problem!

Been done for a few weeks but finished up the landscaping on the back of the house.

Also poured a small concrete pad to put the AC system in next spring.

One step at a time!

DBC throttle body? In the event I pull this china TB for a stock unit, I'd like to have a new one.

In attempts to make the garage warm enough to work on stuff this winter now that I have a heater-

Replaced the other 63 year old door on the garage. Still need to install the trim and paint the molding on the outside. Should be a bit more energy efficient without the single pane glass!

Just finished changing the valve cover gasket, plugs, and coilpack boots/springs on the wife's 09 Mariner with a Ferd 2.5L. The gasket was shot allowing plug hole #4 to fill up with oil! A local shop quoted $285 which calls for 2.5hrs of labor, I spent $65 on parts and also a couple hours of free labor. The RTV in a couple spots should be cured enough shortly for a test drive. It was basically running on 3 cylinders so should be a noticeable improvment...
