What did you do to your shop today?

I actually made these two shelves last weekend, but didn't get photos until a few minutes ago. A place to park my battery chargers and their respective tools.

Thought I would add one more, so I took a step back to get an overall view.

Gave it it's now daily sweeping to consolidate and remove all the grinding and sanding dust and debris that is the inevitable consequence of grinding and sanding the welds on my project Wheee-ler. (Thought it was about time for a cute name for the thing) Once I get all the welds shaved and shaped to where they pass the finger tip test, then I can either leave it in the raw or throw a coat of Rust-Chek at it for a "call it finished" look. I could have left all the passes rough but in the battle between pretty and penetration, I went for penetration, so pretty has to be created after the fact.

Coronas with Lime disease - 😅

As to refurbing the garage - I totally did that. When we moved in, in the spaces where the studs were open to the siding, I insulated and topped with painted pegboard. Added a row of shelves above head level all the way around - free storage space! Built a wall-to-wall bench top in the kick-out and slid all the tool drawers in underneath. And painted everything up to the rafters. And that was the last time I could even get to the walls! As I unpacked all the moving boxes, all the big stuff went up on hooks, out of the way, yet findable. Too bad I backfilled so much of the floor space.
