What did you do to your shop today?

Added a second engine stand.
This one is larger, more stable than my first original stand.

Bought a thing. Now I have to wait for it to be delivered, but, at least I don't need to do anything but wait.

Upgrading to 72" will be nice, as will the built in USB ports instead of just traditional ac supply.

Did some cleaning & parts sorting. Tried to chop the old furnace exhaust pipe but the zaw saw blades were taking a beating on that old iron. Thankfully half of it is rustd away.

Well, yes and no, for what it is. The 4th of July discount coupon worked on it, so it was an extra 10% off, and the whole thing is just overbuilt, you can tell by the feeling of the drawers on it.

Weighs in a bit under 900# empty.
yea, i've looked at those, i like them. especially with a hutch on top. but i can't justify getting rid of my mac box. its paid off and i ONLY have 15 years before i retire. God willing.

The local HF has a floor demo with most of the goodies/add ons on it & it does look really nice. Something like that would make me buy more tools to fill it up.

did you splurge and get the stainless top too?

I've been using a little old Stanley for overflow and an even older craftsman I bought new when I was first getting started over 30 years back. But with the number of smaller toolboxes and chests also cluttering things up... eh, I figured it's time for an upgrade.

I looked at buying used, but, there were 3 strikes against: 1) so many are personalized with other guys decals, stickers, etc 2) most need you to waste time ordering replacement drawer slides and assorted wear and tear repairs 3) you've got to move the darned thing.

Door to door delivery and lifetime warranty are included, which is nice. And I don't have to do anything to it except fill it up.

Same here. Except I think I can already fill it.

The power drawers will be nice too, really cleans up counter space when all the charging docks and batteries and get put away in a functioning capacity.
