1979 Monte Carlo, V6 1 owner with 36k i got in 1992.

My first Gbodys i bought at the same time, sitting in a field. Two 84 hurst/olds, one that someone painted the 83 colors and the other original. I Sold the black one after making a good driver out of my silver one. Now i restored the silver one, painted on the stripes and emblems, upgraded the motor... because the 307 was not working when i got them... but now has a olds 455 bored 30 over, more fun. Love the car. Love g bodies.

My first "G" body was a 81 Monte with a 267 V8, First one I got to drive was a 79 Regal with a 301.

Thanks bill, i use the site a lot to get ideas for things to do to the olds, or fixing common problems. It is kinda fun to post for once. Nice first G-body olds by the way.

1988 cutlass 307 original white with blue seats ..........

good ran like a champ good soft seats

bad everything else 3 holes in the floor 2 rusted quarter panel

seen it on the side of the road for 3 year and one day a walk up to it and a guy come out of this house and said ""you like that car give me $200 dollar and its yours "" i was so happy

but someone took it :x

My first car was a G-Body. My dad gave me his '83 Cutlass Supreme when I turned 12. He redid the whole car for me before my 16th birthday. It had a mean Pontiac 400 that he and my uncle built and a Turbo 350 he had built professionally. It had maroon interior w/bucket seats, floor shifter, and a center console. It was snow white w/a maroon 1/4 softtop and maroon Olds rallyes. When I left for college, my dad made me leave it w/him for fear that I would get carjacked. Low and behold, the first semester of my sophomore year someone a**hole stole it right out of my stepmother's driveway the one night that it wasn't blocked in. These are the last pics I took of it the week before it was stolen.

The following February, I replaced it w/two Cutlasses that I got in a package deal for a whopping $250.

I think it started when i was about 10. My dad had a 78 or 79 cutlass. A few years after that car was traded off, he ended up with an 81. He gave it to me when I was about 16. Right after highschool I built a 400 and a th350 from a 72 impala for it to replace the boring 260v8. I drove that for a couple years before alot of bad bondo work from the p.o. started showing through.
Thats about the time that I (regretfully) lost interest in the car. Pulled the motor, stuck it into a pickup, and sold the car for way too cheap. Here are a couple pics(of pics).

I remember when i bought my first Gbody and everyone called it a grandma's car. After some mods i have been hooked ever since. Now i'm redoing another 79 Calais.
