Nuclear power, surprisingly half assed put together by the Japanese with shitty American Corporate Greed manufacturing in an area that gets Earthquakes and Tsunamis, is insane. It should have went above and beyond. Obviously the didn't learn from Chernobyl. Here in Saskatchewan, no Tsunamis, very, very minor, localized earthquakes, usually around Mines, no Hurricanes and fairly rare Tornadoes, especially as you go North. A properly built reactor would make a lot of sense here. Especially with our Province having a Uranium mine, no supply issues.
We actually have two large underground, thick concrete storage facilities for waste in Saskatchewan. One here, right in Melville. The only issue might be the size of the rod to put them down there.
Kalifornia wouldn’t be worthy of nuclear waste products. 🙂. Wait. Maybe they are.
Tell them it absorbs pollution, from those other "Dirty" States, they might just buy it.
