my buick saw the snow one time and it made for a hairy ride. mixture of snow and sleet so it was like little ice crystals on the road. now i drive my 03 s10 zr2 on 33x12.50 mickey thompson mtz's. it also has a 3.73 posi and she will stay sideways and keep pulling for a long while and is a ton of fun.

Oh the memories of the 1972 Delta 88 and the snow. The best way to teach a young driver there car. Engine bay so packed with snow it took a day to find the motor again. Drifting before it was a sport. The "lets see what this thing will do" with the buddys following. You could get away with running into a snow bank and the car didn't get a dent. Well sometimes. Bought the Cutlass in '88 and it had snow tires on the rear. So I know it has seen winters before my time with it. The only snow on the Cutlass now is what the wind picks up and blows in the garage when I'm out snow blowing the driveway open.

I agree with hurst 1979olds and the S-10 factor. Got to stay in practise.

I bought my malibu in January 2000, that was only time I drove it through a winter. However, my winter rats that followed were always G-body cars, that is up until about 7 years ago, when I switched to 4x4's. Equally fun in the snow as far as playing goes, but, when it's time for business, the added drive wheels are there, lol. Actually I've only used 4wd a couple times on the street, I prefer to leave it in 2wd for the point of it keeps me in check with my speed.

I bought my Cutlass from Oklahoma and drove it back North to avoid rust issues. I wanted a good body/frame to work with and wasnt interested in learning how to do bodywork/paint. I ended up driving the car during the winter after I bought it, even though I had put some 17'' Billet wheels on it. Without a posi, the car was terrible! Several times I nearly slid into someone before the tires finally found traction and swerved from hitting the person just time!

Nevertheless, I am good winter driver and drove it anyway. The car didnt develop any outer surface rust, but chunks of ice and salt scuffed my brand new rims fiercely on the inner lip. I dont regret driving the car through snow, but I really resent not putting my crappy wheel ires back on the car before I did! The marks from the salt/ice are so deep I dont think that they will polish out!

i was painting my car last winter so this will be the first south western pennsylvania winter for my grand prix. from what you guys said they go pretty good with some sand in the trunk. ive got goodyear viva 2 all season tires. idk how they go through the snow. being employed one day a week im prob going to have to run those or find cheap winter tires for the rear. and 14s arent easy to find. ive gotta cut custom mud flaps and get them as close to the ground as posible. i wanna keep as much salt and cinders off the car as possible. the stuff they put on the roads hear is the nastiest stuff ever. im slapping a ton of undercoating on just about everything under the car. id hate to see this car start rotting away. hopefully this will be the first and only winter my grand prix sees 🙁

when i first got my 84 cutlass i did, but it hasnt seen snow or rain in the past 3yrs. but i sold my 88 cutlass which was my DD and MY 84 HO is in pieces, i really feel bad but its the only car i can drive.....so snow here i come 🙁

I drive my 91' Formula in the winter........ Throw in 3/60Lbs. bags of concrete in the back and good to go! When I was 16 (23 yrs ago) My first car was a 79' Cutty. Goin' around the Taco Bell drive thru I goosed it too much and hit the dumpster. My high school buddies where impressed......

my car was bought by my grandma, it has maybe seen 3 winters since it was new. It was sure fun to drive RWD cars in the snow.

i dont even trust my car in the rain. it is fun just sliding every corner but in the city no so with lots of cars around. i have my dd that plows through everything. my audi

Not to piss anybody off but i think it's stupid to drive your gbody in the winter if you care about it. Just my two cents.

I've gone through my car front to back and i've got allot of work into it. My car as far as i know never had any rust, and never will.

Seeing it from some of yalls point of view though, if i had a non SS monte with a 305, i'd deff drive it in the winter because it WOULD be allot of fun.
