Who drives their G body in the snow

I used to drive my Monte in the snow. I remember one time at 7am before school it took me 20 minutes and about 1/4 of a tank of gas (my old beat-to-sh*t 350) to get out of my driveway, when I finally got out of the driveway and on to the road I found out the hard way I had a flat front tire :x So I attempted to turn around in my neighbors driveway. As I was backing out of their driveway my ONE drive tire caught ice in the very middle of the road enough so that I literally couldnt move forward or backward. After finicking around for what seemed like an eternity I finally got free. My neighbor came over later that day and asked if I heard the loud "engine in distress this morning".

Oh and not to mention, drifting into your on street parking spot. Although I did kinda get caught one time in the jeep, I was going to take a little drift trip around a parking lot that had a snake like pass road, as soon as I threww the jeep sideways for the first corner, a cop went by on the road parallel, I quickly straightened the jeep out, exited the lot and waited for the him, lol (I saw brake lights I kenw what for, hahaha). He gave me a warning and sent me on my way, probably was shocked I sat and waited for him  .

Just got my Malibu this summer and I don't have the cash or space to store it, frame is good cause in Alberta we don't use salt, mostly sand and pea gravel, besides, I had bought this car to be a daily driver and a eventual sleeper not a garage or trailer queen.

waiting for him probably got you out of a ticket...he/she knew you knew you were busted but made his/her day easier so they paid you back.

No doubt there, lol, I've been caught doing dumb things a few times, and I've noticed acknowledging my stupidity before the lights come on helps the situation a bit  . Years ago, had an officer once thank me for not trying to run after he caught me spinning donuts (not in the winter, lol), ended up with a noise ordinance instead of a fist full of tickets that would have cost me my license, lesson learned on that one....

I can say with three or four normal sandbags in the trunk my Malibu is pretty good in the snow. Obviously not compared to modern cars but still okay.

Yeah, what gives, my snow tires are still under the porch. Ooops, I hope I didn't just jinx us!

i cant wait for some good snow! all we got here in chicago so far is rain. and i gotta set some way of securing sand bags in the rear from sliding aroundmaybe i can some how use the licence plate cut out thingy from the tail gate to secure a load...
