Wideband AFR tuning a carburetor

I’d imagine for tuning a carburetor a single wire (non-wideband) afr gauge may be sufficient and 1/2 the cost. What do you think?
Those are a waste of money. The wideband O2 gauges are cheap enough nowadays that it should be the only way to go.

Great topic for a thread 500/600! This way of tuning has always interested me also as I mentioned before. After reading everyone’s posts, I am curious as to which gauges everybody is using. I am not trying to high jack your post by any means. I thought maybe someone else could use the information as well. Thanks everyone.

You and 100 other guys but then anybody can let the button fly
The button is only as good as the delay you put in it. I don't have enough money to compete in heads up, but it's definitely more fun to watch.

I at least got it plugged in today. Fired it up and it idled at 11.5.
I turned the 4 corner screws in 1/4 turn each and it went to 12.5. Back out 1/4 turn and back to 11.5. I don’t know what I expected but it’s at least that sensitive. Should be pretty fun to mess with.

You can't dial that back to idle at stoich, can you? Big ol' cam needs the extra fuel at idle because it spits half of it right on through? I know one thing to watch for with bigger cams is that's they'll show a false rich condition on the wideband because of that.

what time and are you going to have a live feed?....

I'll have to hold the cell phone in one hand, shift with the other hand, and drive with...………………………………...
