well right now im in the process of getting parts together and also im watching the video a few more times to make sure i have all the tools imma need and the replacement part# in case i nee to replace a planetary or some other parts that might need replacing. i also have to think of a game plan to keep orgainised so i dont mix up parts or lose parts. ok i gtg get ready for werk.

today i was watching the video and i want to get the right drive/driven gear so my speedo is working correctly. my rear tire size is 235 70 15, and the rear is a 4.11:1. so my rear tire is 27.8" tall and makes 748 rev. per mile, so if i do this:

now with that i can figure out what my drive and driven gear are. so 10x4.11x748=30742.8/1001=30.712 and round that to the nearest tooth=31. so that means ill need a 10 tooth dive and a 31 tooth driven gear so my speedo is mostly correct. how i got my tire diameter and revs. per mile was, i went to tirerack.com and put in my tire size and found the bfg i had and it told me what we know now. and this is the site im gonna buy the stuff from: http://www.transmissioncenter.net/speed ... ____va.htm. yay info!

That's how i did my 700.I also replaced the driven gear housing, the factory one on mine was aluminum and was wallowed out causing the seal to leak. The new ones are steel. Just a heads up.

to keep the parts organised you can use zip lock freezer bags and identity the parts by number or whatever way you want...

yeah organization is a very importaint part, but being at a hotel, i can lay stuff out and keep lil parts in cups, like bolts and check balls and springs. right now i have to wait for the lo reverse clutch remover tool from ebay, im 1/2 way taken the thing apart. i was looking around at trans shops on the web and some sell different gears for 2004rs that can change the gear ratios IN the trans. its kinda kewl... oh and what the plastic piece on the side of a 200-4r that plugs into the ecu called? the one i got is melted and i need to get another one.

I don't want to rush you but this thread is now 25 pgs long..are you going to be done soon or are you writing a book..
