thanx 86! most of this who thread is a learning experience for me. ive worked on cars as long as i can remember but it was mostly pull off and replace parts and stuff. i read ALOT of books and articles that helped me along the way.
speaking of "the more you know", i got bored at werk and decided to decode my body tag and see what it all means and what my trar used to be. so here:

yesterday i sent the empty case to lee auto so they can hot tank it and hopefully get this speedo gear out so i can have a proper werking speedo.
one way to get it out is to get two nuts that you can lock together on the threads and turn it to break it loose...
after the hot tank i guess they got it out some how and also the guide stud that was jammed in there they got out too. heres some pics of the aftermath:

well i got my lipseal installer tool, and looking at it, im kicking myself because i could have made this for prolly less than a buck and sold them for $10. no pics because my cameras outa batterys and i keep forgetting to buy some. so, yay progress!
