yesterday i decided the headlights i got suck for driving at night so i got some stock replacements. i was considering on selling the black ones but i decided to keep em incase i enter a car show down the road  and i also replaced the front turn signal bulbs, and man o man the passenger side was rusted to all hell. so a lil pb blaster and some elbo grease it came out but the light is dimm because of the corosion, so imma have to get in there with my dremil and a wire brush then ittl werk good. i still need to get the brake light thing situated and also hook up the trans wiring. and then....im still waiting on the shifter to get here...

I have HID's on my GP but for my jeep I didn't want to spend too much on it so I tried the GE Nitehawks and they work really well so if you want better lites for not too much $$$ check out the nitehawks

and I have to commend you, this is on page 31 and it's still interesting to read with new stuff all the time. If I were you I'd find a way to print this whole thread and save it cause it would be neat to have this to remind you what you've been thru....

that would be neat if i could figure out a way to get this whole thread printed out. maybe ill do that while hardly werkin at werk

today i woke up to the buzzer of my condo going off, it was the UPS guy with my SHIFTER! i actually thought i had it sent to my werk but, what ever. well for the last hour ive been messing with it and i have it together as much as i can without the car here. it seems pritty stright forward on how to get it mounted and routed. i know what im doing tomorrow, if my boss doesnt make me work. so YAY! 😀

YAY! the shifter is in and Oh My Gosh! its AWESOME! it took me about an hour to put in by myself, and after i had a buddy come by and make sure the linkage shifted properly, and then i went and did dough nuts! pritty soon ill have registration and plates, im still leery about trying to drive the elky to byron, so i might break down and rent a uhaul with a car carrier and drag the thing down there...maybe.

i think imma buy a line lock after getting it regestered. also the new shifter has the reverse light switch and the neutral safety switch, does this mean i have to take apart my steering column to get to these things so i can hook em up?

You don't have to take apart anything to get to the wires. I don't remember the colors, but it is easy to just unplug the harness from the neutral safety switch and plug in male terminals to extend them to the shifter (IIRC).

Damn right ☺☻☺☻☺☻! you seem like one smart fella...lol i almost typed one fart smella! PFFFT  ! ANY way, yesterday i got my AV plates and then put in $20 of high grade gas and drove it around. then i went to werk and took the th350 and put that in the basement at werk, and i told my boss id rebuild it(not any time soon, but he dont know that  )and then i actually washed it. well not a TRUE wash because it leaks and i cant go through a regular car wash, but i used spic and span and some towls from werk, then i cleaned out the bed of all the old fluids and leaves and junk. i still need to take it to one of them self serv car washes and wash the bed out better. i also cut and installed the plastic cover for the shifter so now it looks better. but then on my way home i blew the fuseible link and now i gotta replace that. oh well, it was still a good day! 8)
oh and heres a pic of my new shifter thanx to my buddys black berry
