thanx fellas, i like it alot too! 8)

i went to american shifters web site and clicked on the custom engraved shift knob, uploaded my pic and they engraved it for me. http://www.americanshifter.com/products ... ift-Knobs/ i made the pic in black and white because they only do one color for the engraving, but the shift knob color you have a bunch of choices. the only problem i had with them was they ran out of standard size threaded adapters and it took 3 months to get them mailed out to me. they did send a universal adapter, but it was poorly made and it fit like crap. they also have a very cool, selection of premade shift knobs. i like them.

yeah it is! 8)

on saturday i was messing around with the elky and it was running really rough and missing, so i decided to check the #8 spark plug and WOAH! it was all sorts of crusty with black gunk that was crunchy. i had to scrape it off with a tiny flat head and then take a wire brush to it to get it cleaned. after installing it the car ran like butter. im still over heating and i bought one of them "fail safe" thermostats and i have to install it. i also noticed that the over flow is empty so ill see if thatll help with the over heating. i was wondering if i could just install one of them washer looking things instead of a thermostat. that way i dont have to worry about replacing the damn thermostat ever again. what you guys think?

Did you ever get your brake lights working? I was having the same issues a while ago and I just started cleaning up all my grounds. Basicly I started from the brake lights/tail lights and worked my way towards the dash. Once I cleaned up the grounds in the rear, they worked. Also I would use a thermostat. Do you have a fan shroud on? Does your fan have a fan clutch on it? Your water pump would leak out the bottom if that was no good, so it has to be with the radiator or fan. Not the pump or timing. I don't think timing would affect it that much! But I'm not a professional, so I could be wrong. 🙂

its not the grounds, its the white wire from the switch, i have to find out where it goes. when i follow it it goes to the main loom and the loom goestward the passenger side under the dash, so i have no idea where that goes
