its mostly a decoration, but it functions.. when i mash the go pedal the flaps open up. im not gonna change the hood or cut it to fit, i just wanted to put it on and drive around, see all the peoples faces when i drive by. it was fun. 8)

well not too much progress on the elky except now my trans cooler is leaking, and i replaced the passenger side door inner door handle. and now i have a rivet gun, yay tools! took me like 10 minutes in the autozone parking lot. i give it a 4/10 in difficulty just because of getting the door pannels back on correctly is a PITA. still trying to sell it but no luck, just a bunch of tire kickers. well, till next time...

I,ve always thought bugcatcher scoops were so cool, Stay tuned for updated pics on the one I just made.
Also thought I.d mention to you for polishing that thing, I recently tried White Diamond Polish from advance auto for my aluminum projects, It's the quickest final shine I ever got.Works best with a little hard& fast elbow grease & wrag. You also have the option of pressure washing it off, so I'm fixin to try it on some of my nasty aluminum engine parts.

well selling the elky isnt happening anytime soon, but one thing i wanna do is replace the fuel pump with a new one. the current pump is a holley red top that loos like this one:

but mine is making alot of noise and sometimes doesnt even work till i bash it with a hammer handle and its starts spinning again. so i was at o'rileys the other day and i saw this mr. gasket #12s fuel pump. looks like this:

what i was wondering is if the #12s would be a good stand alone unit or am i better off juts getting another red top? thanx for any help.

man dont waste your money .those mr gasket pumps are junk. i have went throught 2 of them and have a few buddies that used them and they dont last. the only thing they are good for is primeing your carb after car has sat for a few days.
