sebastian305, they did come with or without the spoiler.
I don't know the details, but with spoiler seems to be more common.
Mine came without spoiler and luggage rack.
Jack, you are making me wish I spent more time on my bumpers  Looking good man!
Bon jour Sebastien,
I have a spoiler (air deflector) for it, but I took it off to change the look. I'm still debating whether I'm going to put it back on or not.
I actually mounted it up front under the bumper as an air deflector.
As Brian (Dirtywhiteboy) said, you could have gotten a wagon with or without the spoiler. My car originally came without it. I added it later.
Here's the air deflector mounted under the bumper. I know it's hard to see because it's painted black.
Yes Ben is planning on passing through... I didn't know he'd be towing his Nova! I look forward to seeing his Wagon.. should be a good time.
I wont hijack your thread.. I'll start a build thread here.. I have some updates. 🙂

That's okay, Tony. If Ben does stop by, please take some pics of his cars.
I'm looking forward to seeing your updates and your build thread... 🙂
Thanks Blake!
I have to admit, it wasn't an original idea. I was visiting my friend in Bradenton and we went to a cruise-in that night.
We noticed an '81 Malibu wagon with a small block and tunnel ram dual quad set-up. We didn't see the owner until later. An older lady probably in her mid 60's approached us. She said I noticed you guys looking at the wagon. She told us that she was the owner, etc. Turns out that she does her own wrenching on the car. I was pretty blown away and impressed with her knowledge about wagons. I noticed the air deflector under the front bumper. I asked her what it was from... I couldn't tell right away. Then she told me it was a rear window deflector mounted up front. I thought it was a pretty clever idea, so I adopted it.
It was an easy install. 2-pieces of aluminum bar stock drilled and mounted onto the radiator support using the lower bolts that mount the X-braces.
Here's a few pics of what I've been up to the last few days. Started removing the old doors, windshield, header panel, fender(s), etc. There's more to come. I will be priming the jambs, windshield frame/ channel, new header panel, etc. over the weekend. The weather has been cooperating, so I will take full advantage of it.
Next will be removing the left side fender and doors. Then radiator support. The car will have nice fresh rust free panels. 😀
I will certainly know this car intimately when I'm done.
Hello Jack,
You're lucky to have had the sun. Here, except today, it rained for four weeks.
Dismantling damn good you have done. This has not been easy for the rear side windows :?:
Hello Sebastien,
Yes, I'm fortunate that the weather has been very pleasant the past few days. I felt motivated to take things apart...
The rear side windows were alittle difficult to remove. Luckily the seals were dried out and the windows were starting to become loose...which helped get them out easier in order to repair some rust on the window sills.
Here's a few pictures I took today.
Were you able to install some of your new parts today?
Bonne soire'e
