Working thru corona virus

Had been, took this week off. Supposed to check in today to see where we're at for workload. Leaning strongly towards burning another week of vacation time next week, since the state appears to still be on the upsweep side of "the curve"

I'm still driving the dump truck, working on infrastructure type jobs. I do like the lack of vehicles on the road, that's dozens less idiots cutting in front of me. On the other hand, my State has a very generous unemployment payout. Add the extra from the feds, I could certainly afford to take a couple of weeks to get the garage cleaned/organized and some landscaping done around the yard, plus some auto upgrade work of course.

This is the jobsite that I am on right now as I am reading and posting on GBF. It's so good to be paid while surfing the internet, and watching others work.

I work for a body shop, so I’m essential in NJ. We’ve been steady with work but it’s starting to slow down and it’s getting tough to get parts. I think we’re going to be pretty slow next week. If that’s the case I’ll be going on unemployment for a bit, nice to get a break I guess, but not really my style.

I'm still working also. We manufacture brass fittings with our biggest customers being the truck guys so our business is slow, but we also make some fittings that are used on ventilators so.... It is weird how different it is with so many people working remotely. It will be interesting to see how this effects the future of our business. Unfortunately I'm considered "essential" (whatever) and have to be here everyday.

I am essential but teleworking, the Mrs is institutional and teleworking. We are also full-time daycare workers, teachers, and chefs.

Not enough hours in a day.

I'm still working and it's just as busy even though I'm working at home. I do video editing and corporate communications. Our internal clients are learning different methods to get their messaging out and we're there to show them the way. Luckily I have a full editing console in my office from my two years of freelance work.

My wife works at the local hospital and her location is where they consolidated most of the infected patients in the Cleveland area.

While I feel for those who are out of work right now, I would actuially like to have a few extra days off just to get some things done around here.

Still working. I guess people still need surgery?? Hours have been cut significantly due to the hospital trying to avoid having all of its staff gone sick. Strange thing is that the series of 4 hospitals over a 200 mile area have a total of 4 cases. Our surgical caseload is backing up so it's going to be really ugly when this lets up.

Still working here...although I took today off. Our company is associated with commercial building and residential home construction...considered essential...I'm on the commercial side. My wife is in the banking industry and is still working.
