Has anyone tried ordering from them and gotten this BS?

We cannot ship to this address because it requires sales tax paid separately to state and city governments. We comply with state-administered taxes nationwide but we do not have the capacity to file city tax returns in places where we have no physical presence.

Guess I'll give Amazon my money instead because the local parts stores want double the online price.

I know Summit sent me something that said I needed to pay CO sales tax for some stuff I ordered out of state a couple of years ago. I'm starting to wonder if this is a CO thing? I threw that letter right in the trash.

I used to get that since PA used to have the same thing, it mysteriously disappeared from my orders one year 🤔

Here in OK, there's a state tax, and cities have their own tax (or millages). State tax is 4.5%, then your locale adds their cut to it. City next to the one I work in has the lowest city tax in the state...of course there are no real stores in it, but you save at the 7-11 i guess.

I have gotten that tax statement from Summit as well. Buddy just oredered fro Rockauto a couple days ago, and got it today, so I guess they're OK with OK and our loopy tax schedules.

Philadelphia adds additional sales tax on top of the state 6% I think it's an additional 1% but I've never heard of anyone having to pay it for online orders...

Man I already miss the days of tax free internet shopping.
