Your thoughts on the W30-style hood for '81-'88 Cutlass's...

I'm thinkin about gettin this hood, but I'm not sure how it'd look. I dont know if it'd be better to stick w/the stock hood, or buy that one. What are you thoughts on it?

I think it's a bit too much and does not work with the lines of the car. I would rather get a cowl hood that looked similar to the real FE3-X hood (The car pictured with the W-30 hood is a imperfect replica as the header panel and hood are not right).

Yes, but it is a replica and not the original. Here is the original:

The original is an 85, the car you pictured is an 86 (grilles). The original has a header panel that has more in common with the 87-88 one than the 81-86. Note the OLDSMOBILE script on the top and the side marker turn signals that wrap around the headlight. Nothing against the guy who built that replica, it is very close to the original and nicely done, but my point was about the original's hood.

I don't like the W30. It's a carry over from the 70's and it doesn't work. A 2" cowl is my personal favorite on these cars, but to each his own.
