Right 3/4 or 1 ton trucks. Then axles. Housing ends. Brakes. And off course a bracket like the one he built for the 8.5/8.6

The aftermarket 9 inch is a bolt in deal. Uses stock arms. Sway bar fits. You can even use the stock driveshaft depending on the yoke.

There is a better choice if your making any kind of power. By the time you buy the 8.6 a real posi a set of gears axles c-clip eliminators you can buy this S60 ready to rock.

OVER TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS.

Let me repeat that, OVER TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!

Most G bodies don't even cost 2 grand. Do you want disks? Hello $2800.

A real posi for these 8.6 is few hundred bucks. C clip eliminators are not needed for disk brakes, the rotor and caliper are c clip eliminators.

Is a Dana 60 or ford 9 a good option, yes, but these are totally different options. GN people run their 8.5's into the 9's. This is just as capable. Will a S60 go 7's, yeah, but the market I am trying to help out is the high 9 to mid 12 second guy who wants to street drive and maybe go to the drag strip a few times a year and save some money.

Saying an S60 is better than my plate kit is like saying a new C7 ZR1 vette is better than a crossfire 84 C4. Of course the C7 is better car, it's also in a different pricepoint. I think everyone here would rather have their G body filled with top of the line parts but not everyone has the funds for it. Hot rodding is about finding ways to go fast and have fun at whatever pricepoint you are allowed.

Going S60 isn't wrong, they are a nice bolt in unit that is strong. However, for those of us that desire a mid level product at an affordable price I feel this is a better market fit.

I wasn't knocking your part, it will work great for positive offset wheels.

I was merely saying I have seen a bracket similar to yours on a Dana 60.

I am gonna say if you run 9s, it's you are going to have a 9 inch or aftermarket set up to avoid broken axles.

I get what you are saying about axle retention, and for weekend warrior it will be just fine.

Yeah disc brakes are FAR from clip eliminators. Lil 1/2" piece of iron won't keep the wheel from off. Brother broke an axle on his 04 Silverado. Disc brake didn't even slow it down

whats the differences or whats better than a ford 9 inch? thanks

A 560 is a modified Dana rear I personally prefer the Ford 9"

I believe it is stronger but that is just a matter of opinion, I like the look of the Dana from the back.

To the OP I am sorry if you took my post as being negative on your product, it was not meant to be and I probably worded it wrong, I tend to do that and piss people off without evening trying. Yes the S60 is 2500.00 with a posi added, being 62 and having hot-rodded since the early 70's I am in the position now of being able to buy quality when doing mods, and believe me doing something once is more important at my age than saving 50 percent on any mod. I still do all my own work in my 2 car garage and have built more 10 and 12 bolts over the last 40 years than I can count. This S60 is the first component I have bought that came assembled, and I am happy with it. As far as the 10 bolt holding up yes they can, until you add a sticky tire and some traction.
