I brought my mirrors home earlier and was curious how the color looked in the dark. WOW!!!! With just a porch light it looks cool!! Got a pic of the spoiler too. I believe it will need more wet sanding and be sprayed when the car gets sprayed.

Also, the trunk had to be primed again. The 10 months of sitting outside got it, we noticed some surface rust when wet sanding yesterday. The quarters are also getting another round of primer and blocking to smooth them a little better.

Scott....I love the way the color pops.
I'm anxious to see this whole car in color. I guess it's best to catch all the little imperfections now. I think it's going to come out sweet.

Another busy day! I hustled to get done early with work so I could get the LS heads painted while the temp is optimal!

I sat them up and did a final wipe down, followed by primer, color and clear. They turned out well, and once I get head bolts i will drop the lifters in and bolt the heads on. Step by step, it's getting there.

Thanks Jack! I can't wait to see it fully painted either....long time coming for sure! Fingers are crossed that the bodywork and prep is good enough for the paint job to really stand out!!!!

Scott,
I'll keep a good thought for you buddy. I'm feeling optimistic.
You'll feel a lot better when you're able to round up all those loose parts that you have cluttering your house and get 'em back on the car. :D

It's all in the prep Scott. And I. The final rub and Polish, which sucks.

Are you painting the engine body color? Can't tell on my phone.
