I'm confused by the aftermarket support. About the only things you can't get are certain body patches and trim items. I think the current product selection is pretty darned good.

It's much better than it has ever been but nowhere even close to what A-bodies have available. I'd say the last 5 years have been really good to us with increasing support.

I wouldn't take any of this personally fellas. It's just TV. They've got a show to do and stuff to sell you, that's what they are in business for. It's just TV.

Oh the eternal optimism of guys who build caged cars (to do track events, standing mile events, etc) and then expect to "daily drive" them or even worse, their wife "daily drive" them.

Even if your wife is hollywood stunt woman and sets her self of fire for fun, if she has a choice between driving an SUV or caged muscle car to the grocery store, the caged car is going to collect dust. Women aren't stupid like men.

I watch these shows, my choice or else I get to watch the wife’s shows. I’m hopping to see where they actually do the complete brake lines, fuel lines, and rewire the vehicle after they tore the wiring out. Ain’t seen it yet.

You probably won't see any wiring or plumbing. It doesn't make good TV.

I'm pretty sure there are multiple videos on YouTube of guys bending brake lines and configuring wiring harnesses, especially the LS swap guys.

There are tons of cool stuff that have been discontinued, such as direct fit headers, performance PROM chips, dual snorkal aircleaners with Thermac, special tools, etc. Not to mention tons of Qjet tuning parts and tools that are long discontinued. Also many of the aftermarket offerings are sub par, such as door weatherstripping which only GM could mold right. Nobody makes side or rear glass for G bodies either. Half the time when I need a replacement part for my Regal it is discontinued. Pretty often the non OEM parts are not to spec, and both the availability and quality of replacement parts are quickly going downhill for G bodies. I have to pull vacuum connectors and hoses out of the junkyard because what the stores sell new are garbage that splits in a few days.
