After suggesting to Tynan918 to install a fuel pressure regulator for his carburetor woes, I think my fuel regulator failed. I drove the Caballero to work Friday (had not driven it anywhere since last Monday), it was not sounding the same as usual, and running extremely rich. Before heading home, I tapped several times on the carb, in case the float had stuck, no change. Today, I picked up a new regulator, and installed it (added a fuel pressure gauge while I was at it). Upon start up, it sounded much better than it did yesterday. Will be going for an actual test drive to see how its running in a few minutes, to pick up something for dinner.
The old regulator was probably close to 15yrs old. I don't know if they fail after so many years, but maybe I should quit bragging about how long my parts last. I don't believe in jinxes, but it sure is odd that it failed as soon as I was bragging on it.

Well I forgot to turn my alarm on last night.. Woke up late, I normally take the back roads to work it’s about a 40 min ride(24 miles).
taking the main interstate makes it about 20 min, so today was the first time the Cutlass has been on the highway. Man was it smooth! I still get impressed by this car everyday. Cruised the whole time 75ish. About 3200rpm. With a couple 100+ pulls. 🤭

Pushed the frame outside for the first time in years to clean the bay it sits in. Now I can even show off my wire job.

It's not a pretty as it looks. I could of done a better job painting it.
I meant all of the work, not just the frame itself. I was referring to the frame, suspension, engine and drivetrain as the "chassis", more in the traditional sense. That will all look terrific when you open the hood.

Thanks. I've tried to make sure everything gets just that right amount of detailing so it holds up when I do start driving it again.

Nice! I'm too impatient for that, I just want to drive it.
