How did you mount the gauge panel?
When i had the entire dash out . I attached L brakets to the back of the guages. Then screwed the L brackets to the dash in away that no mounting hardware can be seen. I hope this makes sense. Sorry I have no pictures to share.

That was the route I was gonna go but asked anyway because you may have had a better way of doing it... Any interference issues I should be warned of?

It was pretty straight forward. Attaching the speedometer cable can be pain . With the steering colunm removed it is much easier. Also make your wiring connections with enough slack so you can attach everything with the dash partially removed. If you are keeping your HVAC you will have to reconfigure the vents in the dash

Made more progress in my manual transmission conversation. I got the clutch pedal and clutch master installed and plumbed. Now I have to save money for the transmission

I made more progress on my transmission swap . I removed the turbo 400 and gear vendor unit . I modified my console using a mid 80's camaro shifter plate.

That looks really trick!
Nice job. Looks like it could've come from the factory that way.

What trans are you using? I assume something like the TKO rated at 600 ft/lbs.

TKO 600 with a .64 overdrive. In the next couple weeks I hope to get the trans installed
Should be awesome. I need to get the Olds 350 and 2004R out of the 88 CSC and into the 70 S. I just need machine work, a Halo cam, main, cam bearings and maybe 2.07" intake valves and a fresh job for the heavily ported #6 heads to go on the 424 ci, Olds 403 stroker. I would love a 5 speed manual but will probably build the BOP TH350 I have.
