What did you do to your G-Body today 2024

I'm not gonna claim victory yet, the drain plug stripped for no reason, so that drips, and some of the brass fittings are leaking for the oil bypass line...

Too early to decide if it's internally dumping coolant yet, but its not dribbling from the intake sealing surfaces anymore that I can tell, so that's at least a plus.

Idk weather it's the heat (88f, 96 heat index, 60% humidity) or crappy oil but the 10w30 nearly has the consistency of water.
It doesn't drip off the dipstick and still has lubricity to it (it's brand new, just chamged it again with a new filter), and it's brand new oil so it's kind of hard to see on the dipstick. It's still got great oil pressure, and it isn't tapping or knocking.

Idk man. I've never had this much of an issue before, especially on a combo that had 44,000 trouble free miles.

Oddly enough I didn't powder coat my own wheels due to work circumstances but I think they turned out alright. It drove me nuts not having any control over the process but I'm happy now that my old partner made these much prettier than they were 36 hours ago.

No before pics but here they are after getting roasted, power washed, blasted with steel grit/BBs, and washed & etched.

And after being covered in Matte Black Polyurethane.

Worked on getting the driver and passenger windows aligned properly with the new seals. Driver side was a breeze, passenger side is giving me grief. Called it quits at 4pm when some friends arrived for drinks and wood fire pizzas, will try again tomorrow. Took a survey of all that attended and the ‘86 Salon wheel beat out the Toronado three spoke I picked up a while back. Hope to have a complete interior soon.

These darn things have been sitting around for nearly 20 years with 2 of them having been sandblasted and painted white/clear by yours truly. My dad's '78 Z28 has the same wheels, and these were a gift from him and intended for my El Camino but I mocked one up in front of the Cutlass and decided I liked it. I still need to add some gold to these to simulate trim around each cutout but I hurriedly spritzed some on for a pic a couple weeks ago.
