What did you do to your G-Body today 2024

Been there done that with the 14's. I ended up getting load range C trailer tires to get me by, but that was the last straw before I ponied up for 16" rims.
Two used tire shops didn't want my 16" rubber- said nobody runs 'em anymore... I took $100 for 4 wheels /tires.

Added a pint of atf. Still battling the weird not shifting till governor max rpm (4200) sometimes. Other times it's perfectly fine. Gotta be the governor intermittently sticking right? Ive had transmissions slip, and they don't just act normal one minute and freak out the next. It always upshifts, just takes max rpm to do so. And once it does that routine one time it's fine until it sits again.
Edit: or just like today (thursday). Started it up, let it idle a few minutes to stabilize, then off I went without a hitch. Odd.

Today the wife and I and some good friends went out to our local car show "Cars in the Park". Was a great time with friends, just hanging out enjoying the unreasonably hot day. 92° out for our "Fall" car show smh.

It’s almost like the crank snapped and jammed everything where it didn’t belong.
I’ve never seen anything like it.
it's a true "chicken or the egg first"situation.to bend a rod like that is wild.the rear main and another cap broke off the block.still bolted together.i think the oil pump became two piece and mixed it up with the rotating assembly and when all that stuff met in the middle.all that energy had to go somewhere and it expelled the block in all directions.these pics are a first for a lot of people.myself included.wild times.

Took it to meet some friends for dinner, man was that a cold ride home. I put the passenger side window up, but didn't want to move the drivers side. It had been making noises and not working the greatest but now see the back end popping up out of the weather stripping so felt if I moved it then it would end up causing a disaster

Took it to work on Friday. It’s a total peach driving at 70, minus watching the gas guage activity go down by an 1/8 of a tank 🥲

Managed to convince my grandfather to take his 68 Cutlass out of the garage to go to a show with me today though:

Wish I took more pictures of the show.
Coming home I realized I need to pull the headers off and wrap them on top of putting some more insulation on the floor, this thing starts to COOK the floor when I lean on it hard.

The wife and I went out to support a locally owned restaurant who hosted Cars and Tacos tonight. Was a quick lil show n' shine, but was a blast. Got to use my new door props to showcase my interior and my new engraved door jams. 😁 Stopped and got some shots after a short cruise the wife and I threw in our boring lil town on the way home. Lol!

after 2 years being on Jackstand Militia I finally found some time the last 2 Sundays to knock my spare rear together. Surprised I had to grind down the spare LS1 rear calipers to clear the stick on wheel weights, For some reason these calipers are slightly bigger than my other ones ( both sets are OG from 99-03 Camaro ). Reused the No Hop bars. Luchbox locker rear will get it back on 4 wheels while I rebuild my other 7.5. Kicking my own *ss now for giving up my 8.5 all those years ago thinking another would come my way.
