What did you do to your G-Body today 2024

sounds like you found your new tire place.it boils down to a touch of liability and wanting to line their pockets.I usually get push back walking off the street wanting a pair mounted/balanced for the elco vs dropping off my daily that needs 4 and an alignment.👎
I always get a look when I bring in loose wheels. Like they're doing me a favor by bothering with my nonsense.

I'm giving you cold hard cash dammit do your job.

Our shop is under construction. I likely won't use them more than once a year but I fully intend to have a tire changer and tire balancer in there. Just not having to deal with the tire jockeys is reason enough.

Today the wife and I and some good friends went out to our local car show "Cars in the Park". Was a great time with friends, just hanging out enjoying the unreasonably hot day. 92° out for our "Fall" car show smh.

This week I installed a new pioneer radio, JBL 6X9 3 way speakers in the rear deck and replaced the cigarette lighter for a USB port.

Nice! I'm probably gonna regret not having a radio some day, but if I want it back, its a pretty simple install to put on back.

Got a call from my local O’Reilly’s that a replacement hydroboost unit was going to be shipped back if I didn’t come pick it up before they closed today, guess I’m expected to use the force to tell me when my parts are in.

Got reminded very quickly why I held off then forgot to install the pedal rod bushing- I welded the new pedal pin in with the locking pin hole vertical, not horizontal. And boy, are those brake light switch retainers sharp when they want to be.

Fab’d up a bushing out of some old threaded spacers I had in the shed, works quite well:

Been thinking about cutting a rod up to make it adjustable, and while replacing this found it was not justifiable. The rod mic’s out at .280, that’s too large for a 1/4 die and too small for 5/16. It’s on the money for 7mm but there’s not enough room for pedal stroke on the factory bracket for the light switch. That and the adjusting nut would need to be one sided, or very short. Maybe another day on another unit, or I’ll just hack up an Astro van unit since I can’t return this one if it doesn’t end up defective in the next 10 days or so.

Took a weekend trip to Chicago and picked up some 55/45s in the correct 78-79 light blue, only if i knew they were gonna remove the Tracks and not include them into the deal which they already were. So... does anyone have Inner and outer Manual tracks?
