    Good cause carshow

To anyone close to the tristate area. (Indiana/Ohio/Kentucky) this is a carshow put on by a kid in memory of his grandfather. I think he was still in high school when he done the first show last year. There was a really nice turnout last year. Just thought I’d throw it out there for anyone close.

    Oops, I think I goofed!

Thought I would give gasket matching a shot. I lined a Felpro 1205 gasket up on the intake, and started blending the port to the gasket. Then I put the gasket on the cylinder head and realized how much bigger the gasket is then the port. So I really don’t know if I should open the port opening...

Trying for a quick answer. Theres a lot of information on alternators and I have read until I'm almost cross eyed. My question is for the indicator circuit. Old pictures

Found old pictures of my first cutlass. This was my first car build as a 17 year old kid. Spent a whole summer building it and spent every dime I had on it. Which added up to $2400, and that’s including the $1000 dollar purchase price of the car. I bought a rebuilt 403 off a guy I found in the...

Umi control arm swap!!!! Great product!!

Just recently bought a set of umi adjustable control arms for a 12 bolt swap in my 86 cutlass. I couldn't be happier. The build quality of the product is excellent, and it really made a difference in the way my car performs when launching and it eliminated all my driveline vibration. I just...

    Like racing a pogo stick.

Ok. 383, Muncie 4speed, drag radials, and a 12 bolt with factory control arms. Let's just say it was not a pleasant experience. It felt like the rear end was going to bounce right out from under the car. Yes everyone says don't do that, but some of us just have to learn the hard way. So my...

    Holley double pumper idle problem

Just switched from 750 vacuum secondaries to a 700 mechanical. Got the right power valve, float level, and jets. I also put new metering block and bowl gaskets on it. My problem is the driver side idle air screw does nothing. Even when I run it all the way in. The passenger side works fine. It...

    Manal transmission Probleme. Help needed

I converted my 86 cutlass to a manual trans. using the 78 bellhousing. I've been running a 383 infront of it with a 10" clutch (153 tooth) now I'm gonna run a sb400 which only has the staggered starter pattern for the 11" clutch (168 tooth). Now I've been told the bigger flywheel doesn't fit in...

you meet the nicest people on the side of the road

Last summer in the middle of the hectic stuff that was going on in my life I carved out a couple of house to meet my cousin at a car show. So I hopped in my car and blasted my way toward the car show, so happy to be able to go. Well I was half way there when I seen a 67 chevelle sitting on the...

Holley carb bigger is better right

No of course bigger is not better. From my experiance the opposite is usually the better option. That bieng said I probably just made a mistake, but the price was right. So my car is an 86 cutlass with a ten and a half to one 383 sbc, full roller, aluminum heads, 3.55 gears, with a munci for...
