, if he will only run from a roll, it sounds to me like he can't get off the line to save his life. Probably fears you'll be gone passed the 60' while he's still letting out the clutch :lol: . Don't know who would end up the victor there, but, you may just beat him either way, due to his lack of experience (I'm not saying I could do any better though I'm new to manuals myself )......X's 100 on calling him to the strip though 8) .Not to hijack Thread, but Oldsmoletick, where in CNY are you located. lol, I'm sure you have heard of the casino, :lol: , it's a mile away. Gathering sounds good to me, I'm about 20 minutes or so from esta, and have been meaning to go for a number of years. Maybe a test n tune day?

Its fine ElCamMan. The potenza tires I have are a bit wierd. They have a tough sidewall that is normally not good for launch, but when I've heated these up in the past, they hook up great. I forgot what the rating is called based on that A-Z scale that explains the grip of the tires, but that may be more for handling purposes. Supposedly he's got even worst tires than my G019 Grid Potenzas.
I have yet to test the launch capabilities with this new drivetrain since the motor is still in the break-in process but thus far the 700r4 I have shifts rock hard and runs great.

Take that douche to a drag strip and show him how its done. I would do best 2 out of 3 so he cant make up some bullshit excuse like he missed a shift, spun or the sun got in his eyes. I had some kid like this in a newer Ferd Escort. I smoked him off the line even with my old 2.29 rear and beat to hell 350. Just make sure you videotape it and post it everywhere possible ! But something tells me this kid is beyond spoiled. 3 engines in a 3 year old car? Thats a lotta $$$

I agree completly and i wanna hear all about this. Theres just somthin about a ford that pisses me off im not sure what it is. And ive raced my fair share of mustangs in my malibu ive won a few lost a few but yes a 2 out of 3 race at the strip is what u need to do none of that rolling start crap on the highway theres no point
He was running nitrous on that v6 and blew that motor. I can't say for sure how many of these 5.4's he's blown, but I know he needed to replace the motor recently. Like I said, win or lose, I'm still going to love the malibu and have fun driving it. Basically have nothing to lose in racing at the strip.
As for the race, its gonna have to be a 3 out of 4. 2 races letting the kid use nitrous, 2 without nitrous. Figure he probably hits the nitrous around 40 mph and not off the line. With his gearing and crap tires, spraying off the line would be a waste, so he is gonna wait till he picks up speed and he can better utilize his gearing in both trans and rear.
