1981 Elco 305 - 2 cylinders not firing

I would remove all the valves and keep them in order so they could all be cleaned and lapped and change all the valve seals

I tested the guides with my finger tip placed over the valvestem seal while i pull the valve out and it does the popping suction sound.
 
I would not want to have a rebuilt and an old head on an engine. If you want to buy rebuilt heads you can use yours as a core...or take pontiac guy's offer

"Where are you located. I'm sure I have a set or 2 of SBC heads that aren't trash. I'll just trade you yours for mine. We will throw some new o rings on the stems and lap them in. I mean a valve job would be the way to go but this will get you back on the road on a budget "

don't worry about the coolant, you only ruin the bearings if you run the engine with the coolant mixed with the oil. You can pour the oil in anywhere, it just drains down the the crankcase. Once you drain the deisel fuel you won't have any coolant in the crankcase

if you didnt run the engine you r fine

Drain the oil and fill it with the diesel just pour it in the valley there
