1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Sedan LS Turbo Build

Too late now, but one of our resident body guys (Clutch) informed me that undercoat is porous. It needs paint, and shouldn't be applied to bare metal.

Hmm. Can said it can be applied to bare metal or primed. The entire car has been undercoated (professionally, at some point) and there isn't a bit of rust on the car? It's also a FL car, so no chance to salt migration. The rubber should resist the water to penetrate to the metal.

Tonight’s project, PAC-1218 beehive springs:

Yes I did them inside 😅. Told my GF I needed a good flat work area, SHE suggested bringing the table inside. She is a keeper🤗

Cleaned all threads on Stock truck head bolts (reused TTY), torqued to 22 ft-lbs, then 40 ft-lbs, then 60 ft-lbs 👌🏻

Dropped the transmission off to builder; will give it a once over and shift kit 🤗

Did I miss something ? You reused tty bolts on a turbo build ?

Absolutely! People reuse headgaskets and TTY bolts; at the power level I'm going for, the rods will bend before anything else is even an issue 😆

Fresh seals front to back, filter, accumulator, street/strip shift kit 🤩
