1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Sedan LS Turbo Build

500lbs/hr fuel delivery on E60 before losing fuel pressure. So 600hp or so crank so far. Very conservative timing due to fuel delivery issues.

Hoping to leave at 8psi on a future pass. He's lighting to whatever he wants in 3/4 of a second. With the 35 spines I'm hoping Chris SENDS it. Lol

This reminds me I forgot to send you datalogs Jim. I will fix that in the morning.

at 15-17 psi I'd guess mid 10's at 135+ spinning. Kinda jealous you get to race year round 😏
If he gets the second fuel pump in I'm going to take 10.2 with a 1.7 60'. Lots of room to improve.

Right now it’s on 12 psi. I only have one Walbro 450 installed. E50-E60 content.

However, I will be putting a second Walbro 450 in with the new baffled GN tank this weekend. So I’d expect at least 15 psi, to maybe 17 psi.

Only full pass it’s been 1/4 mile is 12.0 @ 118 mph. That pass the 60’ was 2.0 and the turbo didn’t light till 100+ out, I think on 10 psi.

The two step works now so I can build boost off the line so I’d except a 1.5-1.6 60’ with the foot brake.

I might do some 1/8” mile hits to get data before I get booted LOL

10.8 134mph (guess)

I had a tough time dialing in the launch, and I'm still struggling somewhat after 10 passes or so. With my crappy shocks, messing with tire pressure and not doing proper burnouts I determined that the timing window at 4 psi is about 5 degrees between ridiculously slow and wheel spin. But I'll admit that I have had the top end dialed in due to some dyno time and plenty of full load highway blasts. If you can foot brake it to 8psi, then yikes lol.

My two cents - success will be measured by driving it home. Implying - be careful, don't shoot for the moon. You're working on both ends of the tune, it can be harder than it seems. It's uch easier IMO to work on one part at a time.

Good luck and keep us posted 🙂

I like that a lot. You need to figure out the cost.
GN tank from RockAuto: $182 shipped
Walbro 450 pumps, Ebay: $80 x 2 = $160
Holley fuel sender, Amazon: $40
Fittings, Amazon: $50
Aluminum and stainless plate: $50
E85 gaskets, Tank Inc. $50
Hardware, Ace Hardware: $30
Hole saw, Harbor Freight and Lowes, $50

Total: $612.

Not the cheapest but its exactly how I wanted it.

Car got faster and faster (Northernregal on the key board):

BUT, car should have been faster. Looked things over this AM, rear brakes are dragging like crazy. Guess I didn’t adjust the drums correctly and were definitely holding me back (literally). So fix that and that’s an easy 100 hp!!

Second, as I was trying to turn the rear end over to check the brake drag, I heard a noise...

Thought it was the rear end, took out the driveshaft and all the strain removed itself from the drive line and the noise went away...

Oops!! It was a stock used $125 TH400 with a shift kit. It fought a good fight!

Time to install the good one...
