Track was good. Just didn’t floor it for most of first gear 🤣. Short shifted, newbie stuff without the sway bar lol
You have a trans brake correct? Are you running a shift light?

I've mentioned about keeping the pedal down. For an 'old guy' (me) that's somewhat new to this stuff, I can safely say that it takes some nerve to not lift or lift partially lol. I believe it 's the way the turbo builds power as you go. Between the 60' and 330' mark - I have to make a conscious effort. I imagine that progressive nitrous is the same deal.

I'm guessing you can relate after seeing a you got tire off the ground on the hit.

Love the photo of the family - that's great!!

Yeah I have a trans brake, but the first pass I was wanted to get a good A-B pass down.

When I use the trans brake, it starts the boost control strategy of boost (dome) vs time. I’ve got to take some timing out of it so it doesn’t make so much power and actually get off the line without spinning. Baby steps.

No shift light, but the Holley dash flashes green-yellow-red at specific RPM to let me know when. Again, the short shifts are usually to combat wheel spin or tunnel vision lol

Had the parents down to meet the little man and took everyone to the track!

Tiny helped my old man get the tire pressure right:

Took a lot of power out (10 psi on the dome) and hit more PBs:

Getting there!

Took the rents and tiny for a spin:

Finally getting the front end sorted out:

Blazer brake time:

Tough to get out there for more than 15 mins, but I’m in the slow game now.

Also ordered these control arms from BMR and will go full upgrades on the front end!

Did BMR indicate that those arms will support a coil over?

I believe they do. The QA1 coilovers bolt in to the stock control arms in the bottom; which these have the provision for. It looks like they accept normal springs as well.

Been a busy few weeks around here:

BMR tubular goodness

Belltech 2” drop spindles and QA1 double-adjustable coilovers:

It looks great:

Did a home alignment to get us close:

Had to test on the power, make sure it was still there (no brakes, just rolled into throttle on the waste gate):

VERY happy how it rides. Need to get a professional alignment and hit the track

What did these do to your ride height?

I think the front fender edge is about 24.5” from the ground. I kept raising the coilovers to get the rear as even as I could. Rear fender edge is about 25.5” from the ground. Very slight rake.
