how did you shoe-horn that giant rad in there ? It looks massive next to the stocker.
Caddy Horns are a nice touch. Every time I am at the wreckers I tend to grab at least one. I run 2x lows and 1x high on the monte. 2x highs and 2x lows on the van. The ones on the 2000+ Impalas are pretty loud too.

Hows the caddy working out for you ?? Is the 4-6-8 still functioning ?

The radiator actually fits OK - but it's the biggest you can fit. The shroud looks offcentered but I'll live with it for now.

The Olds is stored for the winter, the oddfire V6 231 engine made it in my basement, ready for some overhauling this winter. This will be the Cutlass' next engine. Will be a good vacations away from the Cadillac. That 1981 machine is very complicated and a bit stubborn too.

Oddfire Isky TurboCycle camshaft requires a lot of hardware to be installed... like any oddfire camshaft. The distributor gear is bolted in place, along with a fuel pump eccentric.

Will not use a mechanical fuel pump, but this is required as a "spacer" for the dist gear.

Left - Hoof performance timing gears; Right, OEM gears with plastic teeth...

Would a roughly de-gunked 1977 OEM "real iron" piston be better than a brand new 2014 made in China piston?

Got the crankshaft installed on the oddfire, along with the camshaft and the timing gears/chain/tensioners.

Plans for next year - what will look as OEM fog lights with the right switch.

A lot of 8-6-4 owners reportedly had another motor swapped in under warranty. The 8-6-4 never worked right. I'm amazed yours is still around with that motor in it.

I was sorry to see this before I could comment. If you plan to boost this motor (I recall plans for a turbo), you might want to consider removing those centering bosses. Buick started removing them during '78 turbo development, after it was discovered that they heat up and cause detonation.
