I wouldn't worry about it. The monte has long doors. It won't be that bad. I ran my 70 Chevelle for 20+ years like this.

I should be fine... I climbed in and out of one the the bmw drift cars at my work that has a 14 point cage in it just fine this morning and the driver of that car is at least 4” shorter than I am. That is the hardest car to climb in out of the 60+ caged cars we have on our property. Worse come to worse I’ll install a quick disconnect steering wheel. That’s how our full blown rally cars are set up here at work.

Got the down bars done and all the structural parts wleded up. I have to mount the seat and fit the door bars and the harness bar next. It’s coming along slowly but surely.

Finally got quite a bit more work done on the Monte this past couple of weeks. I got the cage all painted up seat mounted and braced to the belt bar. I also got the fuel cell mounted and the 8 an fuel line all plumed up and secure.

At least it’s a HV pump 😂. I have had bad luck with Holley electric pumps in the past so I figured I give this a try. When I do the nitrous system I plan on running a 1 gallon fuel cell under the hood with its own electric pump to feed the solenoid.

First goal is always to get it down the track. Then work on improving it. If you want it to be PERFECT to go to the track, you will never get there. My car was a work in progress for 22 years. Started out going 11.20's and sold going 8.80's.
