Well after pulling the entire interior out to do the rust repairs needed it ended up taking more of my very little free time than expected.
I had to weld in inner and outer rockers on both sides and rebuild part of the rear seat area and fabricate new sections to mount the body mount in both those areas.
From there I was able to finally install all new Prothane body mounts but still had to open up 3 in the trunk to access the cage nuts.
So now I am finally back to reinstall the interior.

Car looks nice! I love that interior. So sleeper looking. I love the burgundy crushed velvet. I'd have kept it in my car if it wasn't in such poor shape.

My original interior was a shade darker but worn out and faded, I actually bought the seats and carpet before I had even seen this car and those seats are ridiculously comfortable especially since they are new none of the padding is worn out.

Thanks, I work all the time so progress is pretty slow but the rust repairs and body mounts are done so at least now it is mostly forward progress but still a lot of work ahead.

Trying to get the rear seat area done so I installed my 3-way 6 x 9 speakers flush by cutting a notch in the rear deck and ran the wires to the front.
I added new carpet to the rear deck filler and opened up the holes so the midrange and tweeter have clearance and then bought some universal 4 x 10 grills and screwed them to the panel and I also bought some black speaker mesh so when you look through the grills you won't be able to see the speakers, these should sound really good not having to get the sound through little slits in the panel.

I also made the rear seat inserts using the extra material that came with my new seats.

Well the body is slowly coming along, I bought a pair of super clean fenders from a GN and installed those plus I found a pair of rust free power doors from a Cutlass and got those installed along with replacing the door seals and outer sweeps and I also blacked out the chrome on the doors.

Some newer pictures of the interior, now that the new doors are on I can start working on making the new upper door panels.
