Good advice guys I checked out your links and I like what i'm seeing. That olds looked sharp and ran pretty good too from what I haerd there.
So I think im going to do the buick 350 becuase as mentioned I have all the parts, I will start collecting parts as soon as I can and mabey this winter or the next it will be finished.
Exactly how would I go about doin thi swap? Will 455 drop right in? I have 200 transmission. Just wanna be sure before I do this by the way I will be doing it myself.
Well some good news is coming in the fourm of me starting my apprenticeship for my Millwright I've been working 12 hour shifts for the past 2 weeks straight and I'm going to start on the Cutlass this winter  It's alot of strain on the body doing 12 hour shifts every day driving 2 hours to work but I figure its all worth it.
I found a motor on kijiji im looking into buying its a buick 430 anyone have any experince with a 430 its from a 1969 wildcat will it bolts up into my 231 engine mounts?
that particular motor would be very hard to manage in a gbody probably not a good choice if you're trying to save $$ it will cost more by the time you are finished than plenty of other different choices
If you are doing a engine swap I would go sbo pre 77 olds 350.Solid main web block its a great engine that will take your car into the 13's with out breaking the bank. The engine is over square and works good with minor bolt on's. Before you build or buy a engine do a lot of research, try ROP web site there is lots of good olds engine tech there. The sbo is a great old tech engine.
The Buick 430 is basically the same as the Buick 455. In fact many 455 stock racers would use the better heads from the 430. Buick run more money to rebuild but do respond well to miss make great power & make for a great street car engine. Not so great when building crazy race power because of the thin light blocks.
