It’s been a real sore subject with me because they never answer their phone. And they even literally told me they don’t have time to spend a lot of time on the phone what a joke but I think they cater to more professional people and I’m just a dumb average guy that likes horsepower. I have built in line sixes with a lot of good luck my cell but this is the first one the eight that I had someone else build because I really didn’t have the confidence to do it I know it’s a good engine and I’m gonna pull the paperwork so I can show you guys and you can tell me what you think

Who’s the builder?

I take for granted that my dad taught me to do this. Everybody isn’t so lucky. Lots of good YouTube videos on this. Watch about five of them and if they all jive, then take off and do it.

I’d strongly recommend discussing this with the builder of your turn key motor. Has it always made this ‘noise’ or is this something new. Any idea on the lifters that are installed? Some lifters are not adjusted the same as others - I’d guess these are somewhat normal lifters, but the old guidance of a 1/2 or 3/4 of a turn depends on the rocker stud threads per inch of threads as well.

it would be highly recommended to find out what parts are in this. Again, implying contact the builder or pull out the build sheet.
This is my suggestion. Before going on the internet and asking strangers that can't hear the noise and wanting to replace parts, take it back to the builder.

Surely you have a friend that has a friend that will help for beer. There is an opportunity here for someone to learn how to do something on their own which will lead to doing something else on their own

And ‘warranty’? Lord help you if you ever have to use it. You’ll get folded over.

True, but if builder is any kind of decent person, he'll at least try to help, even if there's nothing wrong.
Why not just drive the car over there, and knock on the door? I would.
