403 Head Question

I hope your head guy knows what he's doing! I got one if you want to ship them down here. Ever hear of Guy Mancini? The head guy's name is Todd. Guy works out of his house now; sold the shop many years agp, and Todd works there on the weekends.
When I took my E-bocks in there, Guy still has a pic of his 52 Olds that he poked and stroked in the early days on the wall.

There is almost no issues of valve recession in Olds V8 heads. My understanding, there is water between the valves. I think it is overkill and as said the right seat must be used. I assume a 1.625" exhaust valve is being used? Good luck.

I know, also worrying about this venture. I would talk to someone who has done a few Olds V8 heads.

True but the 4A exhaust ports are pretty bad. Also a bowl hog and 1.625" exhaust valve should be considered necessary. According to most of the Olds experts, hardened seats are not a necessity.
