502 chevy vs 350 chevy

Never thought about going that route, sounds interesting. Now to read up on Turbo's. Thanx!
While I agree that the short block itself is a strong foundation I would still want to upgrade the tiny cam and the little 275 oval port heads with small valves and if you go that route you are pushing 550+ N/A horsepower. The twin turbo route requires a good amount of fabrication to install on a BBC in a Gbody and most of the cheap kits require name brand blow off valves etc to have a reliable system that functions properly another "snowball effect" in the making. IMO.

Well to be honest l'm back at square 1 where l haven't made a choice.

I looked at turbos when l was building the 468 in the olds an all the confusion with turbos l build it for nitrous, which l ended taking it off.

So would l go twin turbos, while it would be interesting l am not sure the Monty is the car for it. But gathering from the comments it's all useful information and will help in a direction at some point l hope. May is coming when l can pull everything out of shop, so l have until then.

Who knows maybe twin turbos on the 350, I'm easy, lol.

You could always go with a ProCharger and save on the fabrication and keep a traditional exhaust system.

Oh my brain!! I have seriously looked at them. I got acouple sets of BB heads sitting up on the shelf that if l remember right one of them flows 325
The 502 H/O comes with 325's but this is the port size like your current 275's the max flow on a good 325 cc rectangle port head can approach the .400 mark.

I'm not 100% sure, got a buddy that races a Monty with a methanal 555 an as he built up l ended up with his heads, along with other stuff. So they got to flow better than what's on my 502, l hope.

I ran Dart 345's on my old 555 so I would imagine his are at least 325's or larger depending who makes them.

I really got to start writing things down!!! I know there Aluminum as are the ones on the other 2 cars. Ones AFR, ones Brodix, but his l'm not sure. He did say something about exhaust, but heck if l can remember!

So may years of collecting.

Maybe raised exhaust ports? Common for aftermarket aluminum heads usually .250-.300 higher and helps exhaust flow.
