Both use a TV cable, and both need the converter lockup feature.
What is the converter lockup feature?
And also, I don't think it I'll make 350 horsepower

It locks the converter nearly 1:1 with the engine in Overdrive (4th) for fuel efficiency and power delivery. Normal TCs slip at cruising speed. What is the converter lockup feature?

Is that something that the 700r4 is equipped with or do I need to buy something for it?It locks the converter nearly 1:1 with the engine in Overdrive (4th) for fuel efficiency and power delivery. Normal TCs slip at cruising speed.

If you get a trans with all the equipment, you'd just have to hook it up like normal (plenty of instructions on the internet). If not, there are several kits available ranging from $50 like this one https://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-24502513, to over 200 bucks. You'll need the converter as well. Stock stall is probably less than 1700rpm. If you want a higher stall converter (lets you leave at a higher rpm), grab one but make sure its for a 700r4 that are compatible with the lockup feature. A common stall range is between 2,000 and 2,500 for a hot street car. But seeing as you have a 305, you'd be fine enough with the stock unit if it's in good working order. Is that something that the 700r4 is equipped with or do I need to buy something for it?
The guy I'm buying it off of says everything is good. 115k on the engine and trans. But I've already picked out a stall. I used summit and put in 700r4 and it showed me one I liked, here's the part number if you want to take a look, SB2400LT30 . It's a 2400 stall. If you get a trans with all the equipment, you'd just have to hook it up like normal (plenty of instructions on the internet). That's good then. Just take it one step at a time. Plenty of knowledge on here, and certainly many more people on here more knowledgeable than me. If you want a torque low strung motor, that converter won't really help your cause. BUT, it'd be a good candidate for a mild 350 chevy. The guy I'm buying it off of says everything is good. 115k on the engine and trans. But I've already picked out a stall.
