Picking up this 72 super beetle this week. Solid car, minus the floor. Engine isn’t locked up. Not sure what I’m going to do with it just yet. A man can only have so many projects and stay married.

Nice project.

I would do this... Nice piece of yard art until you want to tackle the floor.

Cool project. I've had my share of VW vehicles over the years and still have a fondness for these cars. Type 1's, 2's, and 3's.
I've always wanted a Type 2 pickup...single or double cab. However, the prices are in the moronosphere.

Still have my 69 Type III, they were fun cars, Used to be so cheap, everyone either had one or had a friend with one or a story about one. Very simple to work on. Looks like that one was lowered and had a header put on it.

Can't go wrong with a Beetle, cool cars. My first one was a 65 Turquoise Blue. My dad bought new for about 1200.00. Oil bath air cleaner, leaked all over the engine. My sister and I pulled out the engine by hand.

6 Volt positive ground. It had the old generator and had the setup you could pull start it like a lawn mower if you had to.
My sister's boyfriend convinced me to make a dune buggy. We pulled off the body and the floor pan was rotten. Dad got a little ticked, that I had a car in 2 pieces on the drive way, so it had to go. First engine I took apart.

My next door neighbor was big into beetles in college and built a 4 door Limo beetle. Gave me a stack of books. The beetle was the start of the automotive life. By end of high school had about 15 cars on the drive way. I think my dad gave up at that point.

Surely miss that old beetle.
