I want to get one of them intakes too, does it seem pretty good ?

Looks like good progress, Why don't you snag a serp drive from the bone yard and then you wont have to worry about turnbuckles and pulleys and all that. I swapped mine out this last overhaul ,cause I kept throwing the Alt belt every time I jumped on the gas hard. I was running a CS140 at the time. with V-belts. I would never go back .I even found the adapter bracket off a Cadillac for the big alternator if I want to swap later.

But with serpentin belt set up you can lose horsepower

Lol that's alittle different there just running to the blower to the balancer and our serp have altenater and water pump, power steering, I guess it does all depend on what your running and not running, I've just always heard they can take away some hp but I don't have any proof.

...Managed to get the new motor in a few days ago without any problems....it was almost too easy, leaves me worried a bit.

The more you do it, the easier it gets!

Be careful with the swiveling water-neck, I've seen a lot of those prone to leak, and more often than not a stock one ends up going back in its place...

What scratched your bumper like that? Engine hoist?

I'm not to big on the whole serpentine setup yet. I did find that pulleys that run a serpentine belt around the crank, alt, and water pump, then it has a seperate v-belt pulley for the power steering pump.

The scratch is from my truck. I had to push the car back, so I put a blanket between my brush guard and the bumper, but at some pint my tire caught hold of the blanket it, and at some point it got off.

87montecarlomrc, I paid approximately $145 on eBay from KMJ performance. While there are some minor casting imperfections and a little flash in the runners, it is nothing major . I checked the port alignments with a felpro gasket and they match up perfectly. Overall, I'm very happy with the intake and you just can't beat the price as compared to a $220 Edelbrock Air Gap.

BTW, this version or the ones on eBay that are right around $145-165 are Professional Products intakes. Some say that Professional Products is crap, but they are owned by Pro Comp, the good company not the chinese procomp that sucks.

As of today, the shop is finished and the doors were put in. If anyone asks, there is a single 8ft door on each side of the building to allow a breezeway effect, the two front ones are a 16x10 and a 12x10. The white panels are somewhat translucent to allow natural light in. It looks small on the outside, but the inside is freakin huge! It's 14ft tall and we do plan on putting in car lifts.
